As Chair of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of California, Berkeley Dr. Jerry Sanders is engaged in the following areas and projects:  Global Peacebuilding, International Peace Education and Service Learning, Peace Studies pedagogy at the university level, and Inter-University collaboration in peace research and practice.
 
Current initiatives include Building Peace in the Americas, in partnership with the University of  Salvador of Buenos Aires, and the Global Studies Program of the International Research University consortium.  In addition, Dr. Sanders teach courses in Global Change and World Order;  Cosmopolitanism and Peace Theory;  International Conflict and Conflict Transformation; and War, Culture and Society.
