Elaine Yarbrough, NPA Board Member, focuses her peacebuilding on many levels. Her adopted Kenyan son has completed Nursing school and focuses on emergency medicine and healing trauma in that country. Her conflict management work in organizations makes places of work more peaceful and productive. Enhancing women leaders locally and globally is key to local and global peace. We know that when women are at the bargaining table, peace agreements last longer and include the health and welfare of the whole community. Women who are the recipients of aid spend that money on the wellbeing of the community. Elaine is on the faculty of the World Academy for the Future of Women that trains young women in China, Nepal, and Bangladesh, to be leaders of their communities and to rise in their professions to lead healthy organizations.
